  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDVOLT + REDVOLT travel charger

not till we get through all the Epic-M owners... should be August.

yes they are here... and they charge 2x in the Quad Charger. They will not charge in the travel charger.

You may not be able to, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. :) Keeping a low horizontal profile, increasing the runtime up from 30 minutes at one go, being able to hot swap batteries, and giving nice counterbalance to the body are all great reasons. V-lock batteries are big and cumbersome, don't attach well to the cameras, and leave you with just more wires hanging all over the place. No thank you.

In other news, that new quad charger looks wicked cool... I sure hope they're able to start making some of these things in quantity because when the scarlet door opens, there won't be any turning back. Heck, even with Epic-X on the market they'll sell these things in the tens of thousands.
 
hot swap and extended runtime, plus weight distribution via shoulder config is just a few of the reasons for the rear modules.

wow...looks amazing!! 4 batteries charging at once is sweet, do you have any idea of charge time for all 4 batteries?

meantime, I need anti-depressants after losing Portlandia over budget to the 5D for season 2. :P(

Ha ha, yeah (almost).

You have no idea how fast all Power packs and V Battery bricks are going on the for sale section as soon as we get the Quad Chargers and Epic Battery Modules.

REDVOLTS, are going to make yet and other Evolution of camera operation, and can't wait to be one of those doing it... ;)
 
Heh Heh heh. There is some very cool stuff you can do when you guys get your REDVOLTS.

For example.. you can hotswap between the back power port and the side handle. So if you are using a side handle battery and it gets low, and you don't want to power down or stop recording to swap batteries, you can plug in the AC adapter or RED BRICK into the back port and it will automatically switch over to that power source. without interuption.. the LCD will display the switch over, then you can change the dead REDVOLT in the side handle with a new one, and then unplug the power from the pack and keep running around.

Are the REDVOLT batteries custom made? Will it be possible to use third party batteries?
