I strongly vote for "gamechanger(ing)"

All these "The Game has changed" threads with more exclamation marks than a sane person would use*, whenever another company announces a new camera... oh yawn! "Chili-Fries at McDonalds this week! A real Gamechanger!!"

What's your most hated term on RedUsers.net?

*'And all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five? A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head.' - Terry Pratchett in Maskerade

My pet peeves are describing anything as "sucks" and anything that "blows away".

Graeme

I vote for "but Jim said"... and not referring to "everything is subject to change".

Jim

More in the hated sentences category:

"Film will always be better than digital."
"Professionals go for established brands."
"A camera is just a tool for the true artist."
"RED is a problem once you get into the post."
"Jim is awesome."
"Red is awesome."
"Red made me a better filmmaker."
"Red changed my entire life."
"Cannon 5D can make great videos."
"7D is a threat to Scarlett."
"Why do we need so much resolution?"
"RED is only about explosion, babes and fast cars."
"Jarred is not as big as he or the retouched red-photos claim."

My vote goes to the unsolicited lecture about how "______ new technology won't improve your script or actors."

Or I have no money but I have a full crew and actors and everybody is a big award winner I can't name. And we want a free camera for 6 weeks...

Noah

any speculation stated as though it were fact... particularly about release dates.

FF35 is the future!

(hehe, shout out to Tom and Andrew)

"i dont really understand economics, but i'm going to buy equipment i dont understand and help spiral the industry into a price-war by selling myself for less than the cost to upkeep my gear. Would you impart some of your years-of-wisdom because I can't be bothered to search the boards for an easy answer, let alone read a manual?"

I think that was more than 1 word...my bad.
