  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED shoot in Long Beach (exact location given later), CA.

Hi fellow redusers, I am directing a 60 second commercial shot on RED and I was wondering if anyone can come out to volunteer as an extra for 3.5 hours from 8:30-12:00pm, March 8th. Extras will be in a crowd shot.

It's for a personal commercial project (spec ad) and details will not be revealed until the commercial is released. Since it is my own project, I will be able to release it in every format all the way up to 2k prores for the masses.

Michael Thornton, Justin Oneil (obendega), Blair Paulsen, and Brook Willard will be at the shoot. Ketch might not be able to make it but is offering additional generators and lighting support.

Whats in it for you?
If you haven't seen red in action, heres a chance to check it out.
Networking opportunity and getting to meet other redusers in person.

I know it is a long shot..but who knows.. even if I get only one or more people to join.. thats one or more people I can get people for the shoot.

Next saturday at 8:30AM eh? I think I can make it without problem, just as long as I can bring along some snacks for lunch, etc.

I live over in Pasadena so its not to much of a drive, maybe I'll bring some beer to convince you to give me a speaking part...;)

Shoot over your name and phone to my email if you haven't already. We'll be calling you to confirm the night before so that we can prepare to have meals for those that attent. Don't worry about snacks..we'll have them for you. =)
 
Okay Tonaci,

I will be able to make it, but did you have to make it so early? I will be there with all the gear, but if you need it that early you might have to come get it before then, as I know I can't make it till a bit later around 9:30-10:00am, (my medications dictate when I can leave the house.)

Had a great time Tonaci,

very well put together and a fine group of people.

Glad to see support in this community for such good ideas, no matter how small.

BTW, great food as well, I almost never eat any foods on any set I have been so far.

Now I look forward to see my hugly face in the final images, unless they all hit the floor(the cutting room floor that is)
