first of all.. its a way much better app than any platform available for that price..
and the list of mods comes..
- all of the above.. (posts above)
- an option to choose what attributes to paste..
- a way to view histograms, waveforms etc, while viewing video output..
- a better re-linking algorithms..
- buy cineform or invent in a similar codec for intermediates and final backups..
- a way to import sequences only and not the whole project..
- an option to open multiple projects at the same time..
- mercury playback engine for AE and more effects to be GPU supported..
- support for SLI and Tesla..
- Lightroom develop panel like GPU accelerated effect.. also this would be cool for DNG workflow..
- standardize xmp grading workflow..
- changing effects parameters doesn't stop playback..
- remove grain effect inside PPro..
- support for all quicktime codecs.. hdv, etc, and not only prores..
- arabic language support for speech recognition..
I will write more when I remember..
One and only one thing for me.
I bought CS4 with the promise that they'd keep up with the builds and the color science, and frankly they hosed me.
Sure I'd like new features, but that is totally useless if I cant edit/process footage that is generated by the many new builds of the bios and sdk that are going to be required by the new hardware and RED's ongoing improvements to the entire stack.
Keep on top of that first before you add any new features please
Be able to read timecode and sync multi-cam or double system sound with picture.

Adobe, please improve your editing tools.
May I just add how much I appreciate someone from Adobe actively monitoring this forum? I've never seen this from another company beginning with A…
Are you asking for CS4 updates? Or do you think we are missing RED support in the latest CS5 labs release? Just want to understand your complaint...
Cheers
Dave
Hello Dave,
Thanks for asking.
I bought CS4 because of the addition of R3D native support and the promise of ongoing support.
It was the lack of cs4 updates that was super frustrating. Only build 18 was supported for the longest time, I don't have exact figures, but months and months went by where the only choice for ingest was to trans-code because CS4 wasn't updated to work with several iterations of newer release builds and then a major change to the color science.
I was told by Adobe reps that you'd keep up with the camera builds, and frankly you folks dropped the ball. I'm a software guy, ran lots of big teams, Apple, Microsoft, etc. so I get that we are not going to get instantaneous turn around, it's going to take some time. But you folks were stuck in neutral for ages, and I could never get a strait answer about updates. What finally happened was the "wait for CS5" mantra.
Stability, particularly of Encore has also been an issue.
I'm on the fence about moving to CS5 or just sticking with FCP because of this.
Again thanks for asking, that in and of itself is a positive sign. And I truly appreciate the new presence on the forum, that is great.
All the best,
Steve
