Steve,

I RSVPed, if that's a word, but the email I sent to the link you provided got returned as undeliverable. I guess I'll be crashing.

Two weeks out

Two weeks out

A lot of us missed out on the info about this event untill the deadline had past.
I know you guys need to stay in budget but can you consider reopenning the reservations until Tuesday midnight and allowing us late guys to pay the additional costs for the food and drink. This event will be to valuable for any of us to miss.

Second that idea (reopening RSVP). Just heard about this event. We're doing some big things with RED in Vancouver, it'd be sad to miss out!

If I could third the idea. With the thought that Erik of Birger is likely going to be there mount in hand, it would kill me to miss it. If there is any way (including paying a "late fee" it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Steve.

Can I get confirmation that the event is now at the
The Westin Hotel ?

thanks

Mike

:bleh: can we sell our reservations to the Red Party on ebay for a premium $$$$$?:shiftyph34r:

Just so everyone knows, I feel really badly about closing RSVPs. I know a lot of people are trying to get in, and even with the generous support the community has provided, it's just tough to do it right if we don't set a ceiling on how many can attend.

And no, I can't be bought. Well, that's not entirely true. If there are other sponsors who step forward and can add to the party fund, well that does open up the possibility of adding more people to the list. But our goal from the beginning was to not charge REDUSERS. This is a party for you. The workflow event is for you. I know people have asked if they can just pay their way in. We've talked about that and decided that was not the way to go.

Westin is confirmed.

All details are on 1st page of this thread.

Many of you have contacted me after the RSVP period ended and asked if you could still get in. We are at max capacity in terms of providing food and drink tickets for people, but what we have opted to do, so that hopefully no one gets left out of this party is to offer a compromise.

People who have RSVP'd will be able to attend the workflow event, receive drink ticket/raffle ticket, and get first dibs on food. Then at 9PM, we will open the party to everyone else. All that I ask is that if you are not on the RSVP list, please do not show up before then. We won't be able to let you in. It will keep things from getting confusing.

I hope this is a fair compromise. There will still be plenty to take in after 9PM. There will be vendors showing you how to trick out your RED, and there will be a cash bar. Plus, I'm sure the party will go strong until pretty late, so you'll have a good opportunity to chat it up with fellow REDUSERS.

Videodisc,

This event, though certainly a hot ticket, is not the only workflow resource. There will be many vendors on the show floor discussing it, the RED booth is a great place to talk to people and if you show up at the party after 9, there will still be a lot to talk about. I know it's not ideal, and I do apologize that we can't get everyone in. But I don't think your trip to NAB will be a negative one. There is a lot to see and take in this year.

other RED workflow presentations - on the exhibit floor/all week... AJA is doing a REDWorkflow (with Jerry Hofmann) and B&H Photo (Studio Division) is also presenting a RED workflow in their booth.

Thanks Steve,

Nothing against you. I know you have worked hard on this. I will be at the after party and hope to meet you.
