REDundead saying it's Done but no files found or copied

So my Epic shut off while recording a 15 minutes take.
Now the SSD is only showing the folder and 1 small file that only lasts a few seconds. No trace of my 15 minutes take (that I would expect to be split in several R3Ds).
SO I installed redundead. I input the right path and this is what I get:


retina-pc:~ macgregor$ redundead /dev/rdisk2 /volumes/hdd1/hollywood2013/
Output Dir: /volumes/hdd1/hollywood2013/

Done!

THis process takes 1 second. So it doesn't seem to be actually searching or doing anything.
Any idea what's going on?

Are you using sata or Fw with the station?

Why did it shut off? Battery dying, mains power tripped, temperature too high?Does it record OK on another SSD for 15mins, or also shut off by itself? If it does, then maybe the first SSD is faulty.I imagine if it shut off for none of the above reasons, then there must be a camera fault, and you'll want to contact Red Support straight away.Of course you may also want to try reinstalling fresh firmware too, and doing extensive recording tests before another shoot.

From my experience, Redundead doesn't find any files if my station is connected with E-Sata. But always got good result with USB and FW

OK, so:

- macbook pro retina: nothing
- macbook pro 17": files recovered. Success!

That's a weird one!

What if you now try the Retina one again? Maybe RedUndead doesn't support whatever OS version you have on the Retina - is it different to the 17"?

Are you using the same interface on both MacBook ? USB 3 on Retina and USB 2 on the 17" ?
