Thanks to Brian, Ted and Mike, plus everyone else making REDucation so great. Learning tons and meeting great people from all over the world who are here to learn more about Redcode and shooting with Red cameras.

I agree. Reducation was excellent and I learned a great deal. This was probably one of the most valuable weeks I have spent in recent years. But I have a question. Why didn't we get a certificate at the end of the class? I have spoken now with several people who have taken Reducation in past years, and they said students always get some swag, like a hat and t-shirt, and most importantly a certificate at the completion of the class. Our class did not get any of this. Any chance we can get a certificate mailed to us?

It was a great experience to have Ted and Michael Cioni everyday for REDucation. And all the crew at RED, you guys Rock!

Certificates will be mailed to you this week -

Brian - I have a Reducation follow up question. I heard mention of a group on FB for us to stay in touch, but I don't remember how to opt-into that. I can email you offline, but I thought everyone would want to know how to continue the great conversations...

I would love to do REDucation. The videos make it look so fun and informative.

I was lucky enough to spend last week getting crammed full of info from Michael and Ted. Great experience, lots of hands on time with the cameras, and to me, even more valuable, sensible talk about workflow and post-production. Many thanks to all at Red (and the great TAs!) who endured all the questions and stupid jokes. Still savoring all the footage shown on the 4K projector.

Do any of you have a picture of the new lighter weight Element Technica EVF (Epic) mount unveiled at Reducation?

Michael, go to Facebook and search andrewbenz, there you'll see the group you just mentioned. Sorry I don't have the link with me. See you there!
Cheers

Hi Guys!

Please hit me up on facebook (look up Andrew Benz--My icon has Ketch handing me M8!) with a note that you attended the DEC 2011 Reducation. After that I will happily plug you into our December REDucation Facebook Page for Students only. I will be very active over there and will gladly answer any questions about your cameras, how to configure them, etc...

I had the best time at REDucation, I met so many cool people from around the world that are doing really amazing things with their RED Cameras. We even got to watch this student from Australia's-badass footage at Stage 4 on the 4K Projector. The motocross footage was just sick--it was bigger than life!! Big Ups!

Now, even though I was just a TA, I couldn't help but soak in all the goodness that Ted and Michael Cioni were doling out hour after hour-day after day in the main classes. Honestly, my head is still spinning. Also, I would love to mention that I was surrounded by some of the most talented RED Tech/D.I.T's on the planet. The crew was incredibly knowledgeable and very attentive to giving each Student the opportunity to learn in a no pressure yet but highly informative/creative environment. Best REDucation yet! We also received a lot help from Nate Heartt, Sean Ruggeri and Justin Jones--Bomb Squad Elite!-- These guys are the tip of the spear when RED interfaces with Major Features/Clients. We were incredibly lucky to have them step in from time to time and fire up our various collectives with their great RED "on set experience's". This was truly an incredible time to be had... I can't thank everyone involved enough for being open to the process.

Big thanks to everyone, I am very proud to be a part of this amazing crew/uprising! 2012 looks to be even bigger/better, get ready... Ted and Brian are working very hard to raise the bar even higher!

Cheers,

Andrew Benz

PS- Great to meet you Angel and I really dig those bts shots!

Can we get a link? I would love to get on that facebook group. But when I search, there are a LOT of people with your name.

Nick - REDucation is the best learning tool outside of actually working with the camera, and you do that at REDucation.

Have never heard a negative complaint about REDucation and the great thing is that its allays changing, no two courses are exactly the same.

My advise is to book onto the next one. You won't be disappointed.

:))
