Red's Warranty Policy regarding for 2nd hand owners

For individuals that have purchased and or considering purchasing pre-owned EPIC/Scarlet electronic accessories (ie EVF, Mounts, etc) what is the warranty position for the new owners?

No warranty for second users on acc's. With the cameras there's none unless officially transferred and inspected, then it may be 90 days iirc?

Hey, I may be corrected by someone from Red, but it's common practice for a warranty to be for the original purchaser only.

I'm very glad of the level of consumer protection we enjoy in the UK however, which generally makes manufacturers' warranties less important. No idea how this plays out in other parts of the world... But even here, where an original customer could potentially return a faulty product up to six years after purchase in some scenarios, a second-hand buyer could find themselves without a leg to stand on.

John, please remember that those extended timeframes are only for *private* customers. High value equipment such as produced by RED is by definition for professional/commercial use and only the producer's warranty applies.
