However I imagine you can't record both as video as you would probably over tax all the internal buses trying to pipe through two streams of data simultaneously.

Maybe the Epics will have the Power with their ASIC to Record Both RAW and RGB without compromises. Or Scarlets can have some compromises when Recording both. Maybe Scarlet 2/3 can Record RGB FF 1080P 30fps and Record RAW 3K 5fps at the same time?

Maybe. Pure speculation of course at this point.

But if you record both RGB and RAW video at the same time then you have to have enough RAM and other buffers in addition to a fast enough storage medium to record double the data rate.

Perhaps possible at 1/2 max frame rates? Who knows. But it certainly would be a challenge on RED's part.

One thing the DSMC family should have for RGB is a better reference to Rec709 Red One is NOT anywhere near as good as Sony or Panny.
