Has anyone done any time trials using RedRocket with a debayer lower than full?

Wondering what I might be looking at for 4K 23.98 to ProRes 422 HQ at 1/2 Res Standard debayer.

I assume we're looking at faster than real time with this...but has anyone actually logged numbers on it?

I had a feeling. Thanks for clearing that up.

Rocket only works a Full debayer. The resolution settings on the player output a Full debayer plus a scale.

I've been reading from various sources 32fps to DPX.

Any idea if these numbers are coming from 4K DPX or 2K DPX transcode?

I am looking in to getting red rocket for a PC workstation for transcoding and one light transfers. What applications would currently take advantage of the Red rocket as Rocketcine is only on Mac at the moment as is redrushes and redline.

I received the Rocket yesterday and did a quick test last night.
System Spec - 3.2ghz 8 core MacPro with 8 gigs of ram.

Source: 4k 16:9 23.98 R3D aprox 600 frames
Output: 1920x1080 Quicktime ProRes HQ Full Debayer.

RedCineX took 15 seconds to complete the transcode.
Red Alert took 4.5 minutes.

This product is a total game changer. I can't wait to see the software advance.

Way to go RedTeam. FYI, I will never again reference South Park when referring to the "Red Rocket".

That's interesting. I get just over real time to DPX, but it takes about 1.5 times realtime to make a prores HQ. I'm using an 8 core 2.8GHz Mac. Seems to be the prores compression that slows things down

Currently? None.

Aside from the thrid parties developing for Rocket like Assimilate and others, we'll be releasing RocketCine for Windows very soon.
