  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi,

I just did a test on a clip. 4K 16:9 25fps 21sec Long Export to 1080p ProResHQ

Storm: 3mins to complete 35%
RedcineX: 36sec to complete to whole clip.

Both RedRocket enabled.

Mac Pro Quad core 2006 8GB RAM OSx 10.6.5

I never had a problem with Redrocket or its speed with exporting or playback.

Also additional bugs i found:

- Creating a new window in storm for the viewer and enlarging it to fit the 2nd display, the clips keeps stuttering and never plays realtime.

- When exporting a clip and choosing Full for debayer rather than the default Auto, a video with only black gets exported.

Sorry i just noticed now that the Debayering bug has been noted in another thread. My apologies.

Hi Kamel, we're going to try some timing tests here for Red Rocket export. We'll keep you posted.

Creating a new window in storm for the viewer and enlarging it to fit the 2nd display, the clips keeps stuttering and never plays realtime.

Do you mean you have two Viewers active? If you have one Viewer and press CMD + F it should open a fullscreen Viewer. Note that you will still need to let it cache for a few seconds before playing.

Thanks,
Dan

I didn't try CMD+F, i just manually enlarged the window. Maybe that's it, will try it out and update you.

Thanks.
