Redrock rip off

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Redrock Products great quality low price. But, can someone please explain to me their shipping costs. I went to order the upgrade gear for their follow focus, was ready to order and then bam, shipping cost 17 + dollars for UPS ground. And this isnt the first time shipping costs have been an issue with them.

So they added a handling charge of about $8. Big Deal. This does not merit your title "Redrock rip off" , which is pretty insulting to a company that is anything but a rip off. Try "Arri rip off" for a $5,000 mattebox.

ET, whose stuff I love, once charged me shipping of 30% on the price of the object that I wanted to purchase, so I canceled the order, waited around awhile, discovered another $2,000 worth of stuff that I needed and tacked it onto the original order. Then the shipping costs caught up with the amount of stuff that I bought.

What a great way to save a few bucks on shipping!

"rip-off" is pretty extreme, for the situation described...especially for the amount of money they tend to save their buyers by providing high-quality gear at relatively reasonable prices.

It takes just as much processing work to ship out a $2 item as it does a $2000 one. There have to be some base fees.

I deal with shipping several times a day - in and out - and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the numbers you are complaining about. Brian is too nice of guy to react this way, but I were him and read your post title, I'd drop you as a customer without hesitation. Think before you type.

You do want your gear to come home in good shape, eh?

(And try ordering from any US company from Europe, and you are lucky if shipping ever gets under 50 bucks.)

Openness is a good thing, but blame should be used sparingly.

RedRock is a great company making awsome, affordable products. Suck it up already...

I just ordered the RRMattbox for the REDONE, the filters and the box and I've got to pay over two hundred bucks for the shipping which they give no option for but to my most hated courrier rival of all: FEDEX! BUT it's worth it because RR's products are so ahead of the game and I'm in Asia! However....

I don't know why they don't give competing options, (like B+H allows you to choose UPS at half the price in the same time-frame), Bring it on, baby, I'm ready for the goods.
