Redrock MicroTape - Any reviews ?

Hi everyone

It seems Redrock is finally moving with their microremote system. the Micro tape is in the catalogue, ready to be bought.

Does anyone tried it with an Epic ?

It' been in "preview" for 5 years....every year at NAB they tell me "it's going to be released this June...it's ready"....lol

It is available now, looks like a good buy for the money. Just know that the spec sheet says it only reads out up to 15 feet or something like that, I know I am often further from subject than that, but it would be useful for the most critical focus area.

If i remember correctly max is 33ft.

Yeah they've been saying its "going to be released" for 3 years now. Hopefully its soon. The fact it uses an iphone scares me- wish they'd release something with dedicated processor and LCD.

yeah, something I don`t like either, at least they`re using an external battery so it won`t break after exact 2 years and 1 day (like it happened to me and lots of people I know), as this won`t be covered by their "AppleCare Protection Plan"...
