Anyone use the Redrock Follow Focus with 19mm rods? How so? Zacuto's Jeep? I have an Arri FF2, and I'm looking to get a second follow focus, not sure what to get without breaking the bank. Hoping for something that works on 19mm rods since the FF2 is on 15mm

Yup. I have the Redrock FF mounted with a Chrosziel 19mm adaptor (apx $300) and it works just fine. Only on the operator side however. Takes standard whips and speed cranks.

Thanks FRAMEWORK =]

I think I'm gonna pick this up and maybe the Zacuto Jeep because it looks like a more versatile adaptor..

Oh, can I just use the Red 15mm Adaptor? Is the Redrock on 15mm offset or not?

Is the Red 15mm adapter meant to use 15mm rails all the way through or just for individual accessory adaptation like the RRFF?

This doesn't have to be very complicated. Mount your RR FF on a Red Universal Mount and get the follow focus along with a free 15mm adapter for your 15mm mattebox.

I'm not a fan of the rod adapters so I'm getting a machinist to re-drill one of these so I can mount the follow focus to it and then mount it to a universal adapter like this.

Total cost: $27 for the block. $50 for the re-drilling.
Plus you can attach the LCD to the cinevate block too.

No bad for the price.

I'm making this at the moment (just for me and not for commercial sale i will add) . . . .

. . . more details coming soon. It's still in a rough shape, and a few more parts to be moulded and not pink, its going to be the colour of the wheels.

But basically - knobs, rail supports etc . . . I've milled and cast, with gears and other parts from an old printer and a few bearings and connectors from Maplins a couple of days + a lot of thinking time and hey presto. £100 / $190 so far. 19mm and 15mm attachments.

Andrew.
