Any difference? Not the v2 the newer blue and black. Also how do they compare with the ff1?

The blue and black are the same unit... the name was changed for some reason - maybe when Redrock micro set up their 'Professional' line. I've not used the Arri so I can't give you a comparison (beyond my budget). I like the Redrock... action is very smooth with no noticeable backlash (and lash can be adjusted as the gears wear in). The hard stops are easy to setup and adjust and work pretty well (I have to make sure to tighten them down firmly or they move when I bump them). The lens rings are easy to use and work well on still lenses. Questions I can't answer that maybe someone else can comment on: How well does it work on lenses with stiffer action (I use Nikon, manual focus action is very light) and on cinema lenses.

Matt,

David is correct. When we rolled out our new Black Professional Line we felt the microFollowFocus Blue belonged in that ranking, so other than a few aesthetic changes, it is functionally the same unit.

David,

The microFollowFocus Black works extremely well on every lens I've used, which range from L-Series to CP.2s to Master Primes.
