  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Curt!
It's your time. Say something... (and show us some good reasons to refrain our credit cards).

Cheers,

Hi all

It's still targeted for late summer - I am checking on the filter size

Brian

Update on filters:

the microMB supports up to 6"x6" filters, so the 5.65" square filters will work fine

Brian

Brian will you be offering a choice of filter holders when people purchase the MB or will you use a universal filter holder?

Choice of filter holders - there will be additional filter stages in the future as well, such as to support round filters.

what do most people plan on using filter wise?
I assume since there is so much to do in post now days that it might be best to just shoot clean and add later.. I can only see myself using a ND and or polarizing filter.. maybe graduals if i realllly wanna stick with a certain look

ND and Pol are a must. I am thinking ND grad for some outdoor work when the sky would be overexposed due to my subject being underexposed. I'm not really a fan of the Promists or other stylized filters. I prefer to do such things in post really.

As promised here are a few more pics (more on the way). Please note the inconsistencies in the materials are from the prototype process. The final product will be smooth and sleek. You can see the rotating stages and swing-away features.

That's all metal correct? (screw plastic, heavy means quality, if it does not work, you can hit them over the head with it;))

ND + maybe colored grads (5.65x5.65) ND (4x5.65), circular polarizer (round), digicon (4x5.65), glimmerglass (EDIT: 4x5.65). Not all at once ;)

...and you guys know I'm a DI / "do-it-in-post" nut.

Anyone think I should go up to 5x6 / 6x6 size now that RedRock supports it?

Tiffen: Glimmerglass / ProMist / Low Contrast / UltraCon?
Schneider: Digicon (almost no softening, only latitude) / LowCon?
