Hi, Feb 22nd we will leave for a 10 days shooting in Nunavut (inside the Arctic Circle).
Any suggestion for extreme weather conditions?
We will of course keep the camera safe and dry.. but temperatures outside reach -35 C.

Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks!

I've been up there on four occasions.

You can PM if you'd like. or a phonecall might be worthwhile if you want some advice.

Nunavut, hmm.

You should look up my pal Brian McKay...he's a shooter, great guy, and would be a great person to have as a Nunavut fixer, should you need any local support....I'll hook you up with him, if you like.

little tiny place, everyone knows him.

Make friends. Local contacts will keep you from freezing to death.

Also, remember to bring some form of lights, although the days are getting longer again, i think they are still at under 4-5 hours of sunlight per day. Keep your batteries warm.

Polarbear sounds like a great choice.
We found one available and hopefully we will be ready in few weeks.
Thanks all!

I found the camera runs pretty warm, so holds its own in cold better then a film camera. I just shot outside at -10C and already had some issues with the LCD panel, we just took a hand warmer and taped it and a small towel around it, worked fine all day. My advice would bring an electric blanket if you can, or any blanket to help keep it warm.
