  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDMOTE

What would be really cool is being able to tag clip info such as take, shot numbers etc, make tags such as good take, MOS and have the ability to print a text file for editorial at the end of the day and have this metadata embed in the clip metadata as well. Scripty would love it as well.
It would be cool if you could have a thumnail view of the clips shot on the Redmote to quickly scroll through shots for playback purposes.

Touch screen LCDs are the new versions that will replace the current LCD monitors.

I rather hope we will still have the option of a non-touch screen monitor.
I like touch screens on my phone but not on my monitor (arrrg fingerprints....). Also housing a touchscreen to go underwater and keep all the functionality present is extremely difficult. Buttons are much better!

Around how much will the redmote cost? I am just trying to plan my finances accordingly.

Red is bad ass.

What about making the REDMote a wireless audio transmitter? A Lavalier Microphone would attach to the REDMote while it's sitting on your belt and send audio to the brain.

Obviously, I don't know if the radio data rate can accommodate this factor but it would be a cool feature!

Do you have to have a REDMote to control the camera or will the grip be sufficient?

Either one will be sufficient..

I don't know if this question had been asked before:
Is it a must to have either the RedMote or the side handle to access the camera functions and menu? Will I be able to fully control the camera menu with just the touchscreen LCD?
