when did you buy it? just wondering if it has the more recent/current version antenna and internal components ....
 
Bought it new with our Scarlet and it arrived in Jan of 12. I've used it up to 50' away without an issue. I assume that it is the current version since it was delayed until they worked out a couple of those issues.
