Ive tried to download the updater on 3 diffrent machiens with NO luck. 2 pcs and 1 mac. I plug redmote to comeputer and it does nothing... It worked flawless before and now not at all . Any suggestions?

Bryan,
Your best beat is to give some more specifics about what exactly you already tried to do. The reason I ask is it's different to upgrade the RM than it used to be. Are you aware there's now an upgrade program that needs to be installed and you connect the REDmote from there and choose the update firmware file from within that program? I'm going by memory here since I'm not at my office, but I download the desired build version, open the MAC REDmote Upgrade Utility folder, mount the DMG called REDmote.dmg, and install the updater program. Now, inside Applications>REDCine-X>Utilities, there's an application called REDMote. Launch that and you'll connect the RM, choose the bin file in the REDMote firmware folder, and run the update. If you can't connect try turning off your internet.
Any of that been tried yet?

re downloaded software same problem.. Is there a way to force upgrade the redmote?

You can update it on your Epic/Scarlet. Just dock it, it will say update, en states it could take up to 30mins, but mine took like 10.

I have the same problem. REDmote Upgrade Utility will not connect to any of my redmotes. Docking the redmote with the Epic running 3.3.14 and I get a message saying the Redmote is incompatible with this build and to undock before proceeding, no on-camera update facility there (though I have never heard of that before, always previously used the terminal on the mac as per the manual). My wireless is off. I dont know what to do other than rollback on camera firmware.

OK I seem to have a solution.
I could not get the Redmote to connect via the Redmote upgrade utility on a new MacBookPro Retina 15" I dont know what the problem is, possibly OSX 10.8.1 or USB3.

however downloading the Redmote Upgrade Utility via the DSMC Resources link (v3.2) and downloading the Redmote Firmware (v4.0.10) onto my old 17" MBP running 10.6 (snow leopard), then turning the Wifi off, everything seems to connect and I've just updated my Redmote's successfully. Phew.

There is a bug here I guess, just not sure exactly where. Hope this helps.
