Is the Redmote or some similar control interface going to be included in the base price of the brains or will a control interface be an extra cost option?

It (Redmote) will most likely going to be sold seperately.

I'm going for included, since there's no other way to set menus etc that I can see. One would come with the camera, additional RedMotes can be purchased separately.

I think every render/shot we've seen of the DSLR configuration not only has controls on the handle, but includes a REDmote as well. Since the DSLR is definitely an accessory, I assume the REDmote comes standard with the brain.

I'm going to vote for separate. The only pricing we have seen is for the brains. Given it is a modular system, each module will have its own price. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if they sell a few different packages with different configurations.

I expect seperate. (Nice even split) ;)

I also expect the stills grip to have some sort of at least primitive interface.

So if you're shooting stills you don't need the redmote. if you're shooting video you don't need the stills grip.

I wonder what monitoring option is going to be included in the fixed lens complete package... Something like a small, relatively low-res LCD maybe?

Brain does not mean brain + mote any more than body means body + CF module.

Th only question is, is it included in the 2/3" fixed package? It comes with the Ep-X and everyone else flies solo.
