So, this is not specifically related to the camera, but the REDMOTE I am trying to use with the camera.
Purchased used REDMOTE off ebay. Maybe mistake #1???
Ad said it worked fine.
It does, but only when on the camera.
The REDMOTE was flaky form day one that I received it. Would not turn on unless mounted on the camera.
Battery not charging. Indicator is consistently flashing the last red segment; flashes twice, short pause, then flashes twice again, repeats.
Determined that at the least the battery was bad (appeared a bit puffy). Maybe why not charging???
Replaced battery with new one. Same results. Battery doesn't charge, but the REDMOTE works fine when attached to the camera. So it is more of a REDCON module now, nothing remote left about it. Doesn't charge and doesn't turn on when plugged into USB power.
Anyone have any luck diagnosing this issue, maybe having it repaired somewhere. Or do I just look for another REDMOTE for sale that works as it should.
