Hi,

I'm new to the RedMote and having an incredibly difficult time figuring out how to a) format an SSD from it and b) eject and SSD. Could anybody give detailed instructions.

I do not have a Touch LCD or a Side Handle to help.

Thanks so much.

To eject just push the "1"and "2" button together (located on the front sde of the SSD module. Standby for format nstructon

refer to pages 181 and 182 of the Epic Manual. shows how to set an empty slot on the redmote to "format"

That "format" controls the video format: that is, 5k vs 4k. There is no way to directly format or eject an SSD from the REDmote.

So... Does that mean there is no way to format an SSD without either a touchscreen or side handle? (this not a problem, I have both, I just didn't know that.)

No, you can use the REDmote to navigate the menus on an HDMI or HDSDI monitor - you just can't do it in the REDmote standalone (in local mode).
