  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDMOTE DOSENT WORK!!!!!

It's quite disconcerting that they're still shipping faulty units. The problem has been known for weeks and RED has acknowledged it.
I hope I will get a working one...

Careful Adrian. Who confirmed RED is still "shipping faulty REDmote units?"

As an international delivery this one could have experienced a delay in transit and missed the QC change. Just saying...

You're right, sorry for my uninformed assumption. Thanks for your hard work!

Hi Stuart
Do you know when Red picked up on the faulty RedMotes and when they stop the shipping and started shipping RedMotes without that issue?
I have 2 coming my way and Red haven't shipped out yet and I'd hate to get it after along wait only to have to send it back cause its faulty.

I've just received my RedMote and while I haven't tested it exhaustively it paired up without any trouble and worked over 50 ft away through 3 closed doors. I am in a building with 2ft thick stone walls so it is easy to loose reception, but I guess it's about the same as wireless network is here. Can't ask for more than that, I'd say.

If you see John's comment above, I think that's pretty representative of what you should expect out your REDmote.

We have experienced the same thing. Redmote eneter button stuck !

Anyway to fix it ourselves without sending it back ?

I have the same problem with my enter button. For me gently prying it with an orangewood stick seems to get it back into a working position.

Hey Bloom,
Looks like you've got some intense homework going on there. I hope the redmote doesn't eat it!
