I seem to remember that a single Redmote was to be capable of controlling multiple cameras. Am I wrong? Is this enabled?

Pete

Wish we could get the Redmote we're owed to control our 1 camera! ;-) Hopefully this backordered stuff is shipping soon...

As stated this does not yet work however, I do believe I remember that it was mentioned that it would be a feature of the Redmote. I assume we'll know more about that in future firmware updates but I think they're probably working on making more of them rather than updating them at this time.

Not at present, but you can control a pair of slaved cameras for 3d with one Redmote.

Anybody know if you can do that from the menu system using the side handle or touchscreen also

... or Redmote exclusive feature?

How is each Redmote programmed to its camera? I'd hate to see a multi-cam shoot go awry!

Before you can connect a REDmote to a camera wirelessly to control it, it must be paired to the camera. You pair a REDmote with a camera through the camera's UI.

Furthermore, a camera can only be paired to one REDmote at any given time. However, a REDmote can be paired to more than one camera. This allows control of more than one camera from a single REDmote (but not concurrently).

With the cameras connected via a gig-e cable the interface on one operates both, whichever way around you like. Nothing complex to configure, it just works :)

Is it possible to control multiple cameras now?

Can the remote make me a bowl of soup too? I thought I heard something about the remote being able to control focus. This is highly unlikely now and into the future? Anyone know of a way to use remote focus? through a 3rd party device? Please post links and pictures if possible/available, Thanks.
