Just got a new Redmote a couple weeks ago and it won't stay connected to the camera for more than 5-7 minutes at a time. If I try to re-connect, the redmote goes from "searching" to "idle" and will never re-connect again unless I power down the camera and redmote and power both back up (a major hassle).:banghead:
I've contacted Red support and tried a few different things but really got nowhere. According to Red I have the updated antennae in the camera and on my Redmote I even had a full signal with all green bars (2-10ft away from camera). But after 5-7 minutes I completely lose the signal and cannot get it back. Instead of saving time on set its costing me time. Does anyone have any suggestions?
The area that says "Scarlet-X Link" on the top is not covered by anything. I've removed every component on the camera except the side handle and still have connection problems. I almost didnt buy a Redmote because I saw others had problems but then I looked again before purchasing and there were mostly positive comments.
