REDMOTE charging times

I haven't used my REDMOTE for like 2 1/2 months, pulled it out this evening for a shoot coming up next week. Well I had it hooked up to my MacPro for 15-20 minutes and its barely charged. The green charging light isn't on, only the flashing battery icon is blinking red. I have heard that you can use a iPhone charger with the USB cable attached to charge it - which is what I am doing now. How long should it take for the REDMOTE take to do a full charge?

Takes a while.... I haven't done mine from empty and haven't really timed it but around 4/5 hours from 50%

.. and probably more from totally empty. And at the beginning of the process, nothing seems to happen except the flashing light...

yeah it took around 7 1/2 hours. ugh.
