Redmote Battgery - One Month Out of Warranty it Dies

So the 6th and latest problem with my Redmote is now, one month out of warranty, the battery no longer takes a charge. Only solution is to send it in for a $100 "evaluation charge."

Anybody else had a similar problem with their Redmote and have a less expensive solution?

Hey Joe, we have just encountered the same issue - Redmote screen appears on charge but the battery icon will remain in the red. I wonder if this is a common problem? Have had ours since March last year so no such luck with warranty also. Sorry I couldn't be of any assistance.

Did you guys try charging using a cell phone charger?

Yes, 1amp charger for me

Same here. Had it for about 14 months, barely use it, now it can hardly keep a charge for more than a few minutes...
