I'm wondering if, when the "scarlet" Battleship redmags will ship and will RED make 512s, 256s, 128s to go along with the 32s? You know something larger for longer run time.

They do make 256, 128, and 64s? Not quite sure I understand what you are asking though.

Jarred said it depends on demand if they'll be making the cheaper/entry-level REDmags in sizes other than 32gigs. Unfortunately, 32gigs is a tough sell because your shooting times are so much lower. I'd really love to see 12-packs of 64gig entry-level/grey REDmags for $400 each or something...

Lower capacity and not as many compression settings... what im looking forward to is the higher end cards, to future proof the media for dragons and perhaps even monstro?

I've thought about this as well, yet at 10k for a turbo 512 hmmmm NO! I have not herd anything on 32, 64, 128 or 256 turbo redmags? What ever its going to be the sooner the better...

For us as an art university cheaper 32 GB mags would be a godsend.

In one of the NAB posts Jarred said they were undergoing "12 weeks of testing", so at least another month or two until they ship...

I would disagree. I thought there would be a need for 32gb considering that they can be quickly taken out and easier for RED D.I.T. for quick off-load footage especially if their is any kind of errors in the SSD cards.

2 or 4-pack would be good to start off for us Scarlet owners. 12-pack is a bit extreme for most.

Assessment of shooting times - "Battleship" Grey: 32Gb - 24fps - 4K:

11.5 min @ 6:1 ratio
13.5 min @ 7:1 ratio
15.5 min @ 8:1 ratio
17.5 min @ 9:1 ratio
19.25 min @ 10:1 ratio
21.25 min @ 11:1 ratio
23.25 min @ 12:1 ratio

Its like shooting in 16mm film stock - 400ft mag at the highest level - 6:1 ratio

No, July 15 based on RECON under NAB 2012 when it was first announced. I suspect it will be delayed.
