RedMag Upgrade Promotion Problems (READ BEFORE SPENDING MONEY!)

I'm not a guy that likes to complaint but I do want to express my frustration so hopefully you won't have the same issues I had.

So few months ago I went to buy an Epic-W with my upgrade Path! (This was amazing) and they told me there was a promotion to exchange your old red mags 1.8 for the new Mini Mags 512GB, but this could only be done once.

They told me the only way to do this is to purchase first the 2 red mags at least 512gb each (I was going to exchange 2 since you can never use the promotion again, 256 and 64GB) and I spent $5,000 usd and was going to get $1,900 in exchange for them. So the deal was really nice.

When I finally bought them and they arrived I sent my previous serial number of my old red mags, they told me until that moment that they where not going to give me any money since I did not purchase the red mags from them directly and was not entitled to have the upgrade, and if I wanted a refund they could only take back my 512 GB GB at 80% value because they where open from the non-static plastic bag.

I don't do this as a living I do it as a passion and I'm definitely not rich, overall this was a really bad experience for me. I share this for two reasons, I feel read always hear the community and I love that so they could improve the service and also to let users know what can happen before upgrading.

I feel your pain but RED did make it clear from the outset that this was only available for the original owner of REDmags, bought directly from RED.

I'm not saying it wasn't there but for sure my representative did not know this at the moment. It was until I bought it and call for exchange that he told me that.
