RedMag trade-in - 1tb minis

[roryhinds]

Now that the 1Tb Mini's are out and shipping does the RedMag trade-in include the 1tb or is it only the 512Gb?

[J. Andrés Cardona]

Only 512's

[roryhinds]

Is that the official word from RED?

[Terry VerHaar]

The only word from RED so far is the 512s; with a specific price attached. There has, to my knowledge, been no word at all about the 1TBs.

Can you only trade if you bought new from Red?

[J. Andrés Cardona]

Can you only trade if you bought new from Red?

Yep, only if purchased from Red directly.

[Terry VerHaar]

Can you only trade if you bought new from Red?

Yes. It was very specific; if you acquired the mag used/from third party, it was NOT eligible.

allowing additional sizes for choice would be great but so far i haven't heard anything...and if we ask for too much they may get pissed lol...the problem for me is i always need to match whatever the hell the sublease place wants it to match so i always end up screwed it seems cuz of the devil being in the details when it comes to getting it all kitted or whatever..

[Samir Patel]

I believe they allowed only trade up to 512 because they had purchased a large stock of 512s for the transition from 1.8 to minimags.
