REDMAG SSD MAX DATA RATE...

[Tom Gough]

Hi all,

I'm trying to find out what the maximum/average data rate of the RED SSDs is and the best offload speeds users have achieved. There was a thread where a few REDusers (Greg M and Dino G) posted offload times... But I cannot find the thread as the forum search shows only a few recent results then jumps to posts from 2009!

Thanks.

All the best,

Seem to remember something like 140MB/s max

According to the "Tattoo" project notes by Michael Cioni, they downloaded full 128GB SSDs in about 8 minutes. So the data rate would be around 270 MB/s.

needs more Thunderbolt SSD Readers...

Thanks guys

So between 140MB/s and 270MB/s... Are there any official RED performance specs out there for the SSDs???

All the best

Reads are between 150 and 180MB/s over esata depending on esata card, system, etc.
