Hey Guys,
Just curious if anyone has found diagnostic software that works with RedMag SSD's. I tried SSDLife but am getting confused readings, I assume probably because of the proprietary way the data is stored and read. It says the life is 0%, but that can't be accurate.
If there isn't software that will read it, does anyone have an understanding of the readings of the RedMag Media?
What I'm really trying to accomplish is discover whether dropped frames we have experienced were caused by the media, which is my assumption. I'd like to be able to screen incoming media and check the status of the write life so that I can limit the problems we could have with rental media and send back anything.
Depending on whether the RedMag SSD's are MLC or TLC, their write cycles might be a couple thousand or upwards of almost 10,000. If anyone has insight into the write cycle expectancy, it would be appreciated. The cards I'm using have been written over a thousand times, so say it's a life of 3,000 write cycles, the cards could be well over 50% of their life cycle. As they near the end, the cards will eventually run out of replacement blocks and the cards will start having more errors and eventually start losing capacity rapidly. Considering what we use these cards for and the critical nature of what they do, it's pretty important we are able to measure the health of them and know when to retire them.
Any help is appreciated.
