  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RedMag Record Times: 64GB / 128GB / 256GB + HDRx™™

How many minutes of footage do I get on to a 128 GB SSD when recoording 300 fps at 7:1 ?

Off the top of my head, I want to say it's about 12~13 minutes actual record time... If you see that you get 193 minutes of 2K 2:1 according to the chart above, and then divide that by 12.5 (300/24 fps), it gives you a bit over 15 minutes. Of course, when played back at 24fps, it's still about 190 minutes or so. :)

Thanks Ryan.

I was just about getting started doing this math.

Anybody have some good info on the Offload times of the cards? Of course I've been able to calculate some by just checking the bandwidhts etc but for example how long does it take to empty out a full 128GB card onto a firewire drive hooked up to a basic Macbook Pro?

EPIC Media choice

I am a new EPIC buyer. Was wondering if its even worth getting the 64GB mags? Soon there will be dragon (6K) and I plan on shooting 6:1 or under. In that case, my 64GB won't give much shooting time.

Am thinking to just invest in 128GBs now Vs 64GB.

Anyone concur?

i was thinking that today at the casino while I was down 200$...Initially I was thinking 512gb card but then I worry something may happen to all that footage on a single card. I like the idea of 128gb card myself because if it gets lost/stolen/damaged, there's not as much footage lost as there would be on a larger card like the 512. So I figure a few 128 or few 256 come 6k and ill be fine but still a little unsure myself.

That's extremely helpful. I'm glad someone took the time to figure this out - Thanks!
