We did a camera test for our feature coming up. Shot some slow motion clips at 3k HD and 2k HD.

Watched the clips back in camera.

Took card out to off load.

The card read on the computer as empty but only showed 60gb available on a 64gb card.

Put the card back in the camera. Clips were there.

Remounted the SSD/REDstation to computer and still nothing was available.

Put card back into the camera again only this time the card would not mount to the camera.

I hit the media option to just format and start over again and the SSD % showed up at 0% as I hit the media option.

This is a scary situation going into a feature. Anyone have an idea why this happened?

Sounds like a glitchy mag or firmware in camera. were you using a third party application for data transfer or just drag dropping it?

Newest firmware. Not Beta. Just drag and drop.

No we shot very few clips and were not very long. The only thing that was glitchy was the Ikan 7 monitor.

What kind of computer? Was REDCine-X installed? How/where was the mad originally formatted?

REDcine was not installed but that doesn't effect the transfers as we were transferring all day prior to the incident. The card was re-formatted before the takes. Everything was working fine before hand. And after I formatted the card giving me the issue, it didn't happen again.

as for computer type it was a Mac Pro tower. Couldn't tell you the specs but again, this was the only time I saw this happen the whole day and since my ACs were not present, other than Bruce Logan, I was the only one touching the media and camera

Created a support ticket maybe I can get something figured out that route.

BTW Terry, Love the dog pic.

I put in a new 128gb ssd today and same thing happened. I reset the camera and haven't had the problem happen again yet

Did you use the unmount option when taking the card out of the camera ?

Unmount option as in "eject media"?

Yes eject media option is always hit before removal. Mounted via FireWire 800. Bought new chord. About to shoot some b roll. We'll see how it performs
