  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDflex

A new Output LUT in Red Alert. It basically protects your shadows and your highlights and distributes any changes you make throughout the middle. HAven't gotten a chance to play with it, but it seems pretty awesome.

I've heard about it on the podcast. Is it built into RedAlert? Or do we get it elsewhere?

It will get a proper launch fairly soon. It will 1st only be in RED Alert!

So... it's in the new RedAlert. Seems to make a dynamic decision on where to place the dynamic range.

Can anyone explain REDflex now that it's available?

Please ignore the REDflex menu selection for now. It snuck in by accident and is currently WRONG. As Jim says, it'll get a proper launch soon.

dang :) OK, I'll patiently wait. I suppose I could spend my time creating a shell script for auto-distributing Qmaster renders and post-syncing sound...

These are not the REDflex you are seeking... move along.

New version released: Beta REDAlert! v3.3.6
This fixes some minor bugs and the dpx buttons on the main window.

i think RedFLEX turned into RedSpace....

REDFLEX is not RedSpace.

REDFlex to me is like RedSpace with training wheels...It seems perfectly designed to let the producer do their own xfers without totally fucking things up :)

okay.....and where the hell is it? RedCine, RedAlert, Redline? I've never once seen it. Is it a PC only thing?

Im confused. :bye2:

I think they removed it and re-released. I don't think we were supposed to see it...

It's not available in any app right now. It was released to a select few during the Build 16 alpha, but it's never been freely available for download that I know of.

It's listed as an option in the LUTs you can choose with Redline.
