Hi!

I usually begin my color correction from RedLogFilm (just like anyone else).

But I do have a quick question: what is everyone starting from as color space?

- RedColor3

or

- Camera RGB?

What combination do you find more appropriate as a starting point? RedColor3+RedLogFilm or CameraRGB+RedLogFilm?

Pro and Cons?

Thanks!
George

Camera RGB is garbage. That would be my biggest con. ;)

CameraRGB is deprecated and does really really wonky things when you adjust white balance and exposure. The only time I use CameraRGB is for specific greenscreen keys which see less contamination than RC3. But even then you have to constantly pixel peep your channels lest the blue channel clamp to black or other transgressions on saturation occur.
