  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCODE 42...

I was wondering if someone can post a chart for redcode 42 and what they equal in time that one can record to flash cards. I'd be looking at 16gb cards or greater.

I spend much of my time in remote areas and need to factor all this in. Also can the Scarlet S35 shoot a choice between r42 and r80? Or is it one and none?

Thanks!

I, too, am looking for a chart for Redcode 42. Has anyone noted the transfer rate using Redcode 42 as opposed to Redcode 36? Obviously, the actual transfer time depends on the system you are using. But, has anyone noticed a remarked increase in transfer times? Both on the replica and transcode sides. I won't have a chance to test the times before shooting begins.

Thanks.

If this has been answered previously, I apologize,
Nathan

Since REDCODE is a reference number (variable compression), you can assume that REDCODE 42 has a 17% overall higher data rate than REDCODE 36. Use that number for relevant calculations.

REDCODE 14 for 3K on Scarlet...

Would that be a bad idea?

Just a thought considering how well the compression works, having a very low bandwidth and still RAW acquisition format is a nice thing.
