Ever since the 2xx builds, RCX has refused to play/scrub footage without cutting to black after a few frames. The text of my email to support is below. Anyone else experiencing this on windows? Workarounds/fixes?
---------------
Ever since Build 252, RedCine-X has exhibited the following behavior on my on-set laptop:
1) load a clip into the viewer window, and it shows up as you'd expect.
2) hit play, or drag the time slider, and the viewer will go through some small amount of frames, then go black.
3) the histogram is still responding "live" to the images (i.e. there's data there), but they don't display.
4) switching to a different quality level (1/4 from 1/8 or whatever) brings back the image, but...
5) go to #2 and repeat.
The last version of RCX that works for me is Build 194.
This is on a Windows XP SP3 laptop, ATI Mobility FireGL v5700 graphics card.
