REDCINE-X Video Out Issue

So this is my first time working as a DIT with the RED Camera. I have REDCINE-X loaded on my system and I am able to get a video out signal to my Flanders Monitor. The issue I am having is that the image on my monitor is wrong in terms of contrast compared to the actual file. When looking at the scopes in REDCINE-X and looking at the image on my secondary monitor, everything looks to be in the correct place. But when I look at the image on the Flanders, it is severely crushed. I know the monitor is calibrated properly, and I have no issue when using it with Resolve. I even turned the scopes on the monitor to check the incoming signal, and they are showing readings far below 0 IRE that I am not seeing in REDCINE-X. I don't see a ton of options for the video out, so I'm wondering if there is something I am missing that you guys might be able to help me out with. Much appreciated.

Chandler,

Which version of REDCINE-X are you using? There were issues related to SMPTE Restricted Range fixed in build 32, and in build 33 Beta support was added to feed the output devices YUV pixel types as well as RGB.

hello, I am having the same problem. I use Maverick, RedcineX pro V32, Blackmagic decklink 4k, RedRocketX. When working on DaVinci Resolve everything perfect.
But RedcineX, all I see on the monitor grade, is dense with black crushed.

I posted about this over 6 months ago. Try setting the video out in RCX Prefs to 8 bit instead of 10. I've never been able to use the 10 bit option in RCX because of the exact problem you are describing.
