  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X V2

This looks great Deanan. Looks like a nice software machine. Congrats.

Download link will go live wednesday during the RED party.

Awesome... even faster than I expected. Great to see the progress on this... my primary app since getting the RED Rocket. Congratulations Deanan for all the hard work and making it happen so quickly.

So that is the only thing you have left for NAB...
Or is it more?

You guys know how to tease, (and we love it)

Nice work! Are the hardware control surfaces going to get PC support as well?

Cheers,
Tim

I would say, with Avid's recent acquisition of Euphonix, that PC drivers for the Artist series will be on their way soon enough. Euphonix, Apogee and Apple have/had a working relationship which I suspect has kept the Artist series out of PC land.... but now Avid is in the picture I reckon it might change a few things. I see a lot more Avid systems on PC than I do on Mac.

Can we keyframe that? Or anything else? Hehe...

I suppose the info on writing third-party modules is forthcoming with the release?

Wow.
That is great new Deanan!
No more guessing games with numbers when trying to crop to custom rack leaders!

Now that the RSX files are out of the equation. What is the future of saving looks on a per shot basis?

I have to admit I underestimated the depth of features RED is trying to push into this program.

I'm especially impressed with hosting Magic Bullet looks as a module. Great for pre-visualizing shots among other things. Thanks for these developments.

The guys on the software team deserve the credit for all the hard work.

Saving .RMD (rsx replacement) is already in earlier builds.
This will hold all sorts of metadata and will also be editable
from the camera on epic/scarlet so you can remotely (say by ipad) tag shots and add metadata.

I'll be honest, at first I hated REDCINE.
The latest build of REDCINE X is my FAVORITE RED RELATED APP.
This company just gets better and better.

Now this looks cool... To be honest i hated the mess of windows on redcine-x, I have stuck to using RocketCine... but now with the cleaner interface, and the RGB curve tool, I am gonna have to switch over by wednesday i suppose.

Absolutely LOVE the UI, truly hope to be able to do most of the work for my Stills as well in here, and just take to CS5 for Retouching.

More stills features coming in the next few months also.
