I'm still a bit confused.
Let's say I add metadata (notes, lens, angle, ...) to all my shots on location or at the end of the day in Redcine-X.

Is there a function where I type in "85mm" for example and Redcine-X shows me everything shot with a 85mm lens?
(Given that I tagged my shots correctly.)

No, RCX does not currently have the ability to search the bins.
You can however sort the column to group all of the similar values.

This is a feature we plan on adding in for future versions of RCX.

Thanks Matthew,

So it doesn't hurt tagging all my clips now to make use of the metadata in about 6 months when postproduction starts?!

One more question:

I'm doing manual backups on three stand alone harddrives.
Is it suggested to store the RMDs apart from the R3Ds?
Do the RMDs fit to any R3D file no matter which of the three backups I attach to the computer?

Hope you know what I mean, it's hard to explain... :-)
