  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Mark are you seeing what I'm seeing with that multi track, timeline this is going to be a huge time saver for 4444 workflows. Red has taken it to the next level. For me this will solve a lot of issues loading full clips in PPro, slowing down the system. I'm Loving It.

Joe,

I'll put that on my to do list to check on tomorrow.

Thanks Grant. I'll to install on a different computer tomorrow, but look forward to what you might find.

Deanan,

Why did we go back to vertical color wheels? When that was introduced a year or more ago, overwhelmingly it was requested to bring them back to an horizontal layout, and was kept that way until this version. May seem trivial, but there is a visual-reason all software (even new Resolve) are set horizontally.

There wasn't a good place to fit it in without being clumsy or confusing.
We tried a couple of approaches but we reverted to the stack for now.
It'll likely end up as part of the viewer/scopes stack in a later build.

Are there any r3d files to download so I can have a play around with this?

Loving this soooooo much

Being able to edit the clips with sync sound right there on set in 1 program to check eyelines, tempo, etc, to show the actors and crew straight away - wow.

And loving the second monitor video window Jarred!

The Mac version isn't actually universal is it? It won't run on pre-Intel chip sets, right?

It's a fairly large file, but Ryan Connolly at Film Riot put up a bunch of r3d footage recently. Here's one of the mirror sites. http://t.co/u3X1siR

Universal is Apple's way of saying more than 1 architecture in 1 file. In this case it's 32- and 64-bit in one, both Intel.

Loving the UI. I would like to be able to double click in the timeline and bring the playhead to that position

This is incredibly cool...and its free...big kudos, and thanks Red Team for all your hard work on this :))

I've been lurking for a while but I'm so excited about this app I had to post for the first time!

I've shot alot with red one, alexa, F3, 5d and was holding out for scarlet but after seeing this, I'm inspired to go Epic. Wow.

If this turns into a real time Non linear editing machine and grader with audio layers everything just like FCP or AVID... I would just die!!!!!! That would be just heaven! x 10

It probably isn't geared for that. But I can understand the frustration Jim and Co hear on a daily basis about providing a ready to edit camera codec. A full blown editor would be the answer. "here you go free instant realtime fullscreen editor, now what?"

I can't stop playing with redcinex pro! I can't believe this is a free app. This is beyond awesome.

It works just like old redcinex but a 1000 times better.
