  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Redcine X - Preview window issue

Dan,

From looking at what little I can see of your "histogram", all of your color information seems to be heavily condensed toward the highlights with a strong possibility of "clipping". You seem to have no color info. in your "Shadows" or "Mids" at all, except for some very minor "Red" spikes throughout the range. Also with a highly lifted "Blue" Channel in your "Parade" Scope.

Dan,

From looking at your metadata of this clip.

I see:

1) "Clip Original Image Pipeline" - "Legacy
"Clip Current Image Pipeline" - "IPP2"

2) Original "Color Space" -"Redgamma 4"
Original "Gamma Curve" -"DRAGONcolor2"

3) Nikon Lens 82mm @f5.1 focused at 2230mm

4) Redcode "8:1" and no HDR used

5) Resolution 8192x4320, "Project timebase"- 23.9760246, "Record timebase" -23.9759998, "180 degree" Shutter

6) "Sensor OLF"- "Standard"

7) Firmware version - 7.0.0 ( from 10/05/2017) might want to update to Version 7.0.1 from 12/15/2017 unless it is giving you problems.

I would check to make sure if that "Project timebase"- 23.9760246 and "Record timebase" -23.9759998 may have caused something funky to happen and maybe recheck your IPP2 Image Pipeline settings. Maybe check to see if your Nikon mount maybe causing any problems also.

If none of that helps, You may what to file a "support ticket" with Red.

What are your IPP2 settings? Do They look like these?

Dan,

Did you have any other problems with other clips off of that minimag?

Also, for the Longest time I had problems with any version of Windows past 1703. I finally had to update to Version 1709 because Microsoft sent something about no longer supporting any version below 1709.

What Version of Redcine-X Pro are you using ? Version 50.2

Dan,

You're welcome ! I am glad that there was nothing more serious causing the problem. And that an intel and nvidia driver update was all that was needed to resolve the issue.
