Hey guys,

Just playing around in Redine-X and I LIKE what I see. I can't figure out how to export with the color correction adjustments I've done. Do the corrections not get applied to the clips in the bin? For clarity, here's what I'd LOVE to be able to do:

Import an XML form FCP of clips to be corrected..
Color each clip accordingly..
Batch rendered the color-corrected clips to a selected destination.

Is this currently possible (I know there's no XML import currently.)

Thanks!

I have asked the same queston so many times, in so many ways, but no answer from Red, or just answering the question with another question. However, Deanan said that they are working on it...:sosp:

Hi, I am able to do this with rocket cineX. I know not as much control as redcineX (no 3 cool color wheels) but it works great to be able to make a look then apply it to alll or some of the clips in the bin then make some kick ass dailies for posting. Do this then fix the rest in apple color. When edit is locked I export the fcp sequence to xml. Import that into clipfinder, then replace .mov clips with R3ds and send just those clips over to redcine x or red rocket x for final grading/ one light b4 apple color. You will be rendering the entire r3d, no in and outs or handles... It's a workaround till xlm support. works well and quick. Even better if you have a rocket card.

hope that helps

Batch?

Batch?

Thanks for the reply. How do you apply the look to clips in the bin? I've only figured out how to render clips with corrections in the timeline.

Jason,

This is great workaround! How exactly you send those files to Redcine-X? Is this an automated function, or we just render and import it manually?

Thanks,
