Hi,
I have this thing I really don´t understand when it comes to exporting clips from Redcine-X, generated by an EDL.
First, I really think Redcine-X is great and have been using it for years. So no problems with the software, I just have this thing I can´t figure out..
I edit in Avid MC on ProRes-proxies generated in-camera. (I shoot ProRes LT 1080p +R3D)
From Avid i export an EDL, which I import into Redcine-X.
Then I do my grade and normally export ProRes UHD-files for finishing touches in Avid.
Everything is OK when exporting an EDL form Avid (CMX 3600 og File 32).
Everything is OK within RedCine-X during grade.
(As long as I don´t put the clips down to the timeline. My preferred shooting framerate is 25fps, PAL. When clips are in the timeline, it seems at the framerate for the clips is 29,97fps.)
When exporting to ProRes, I set the framerate to 25fps. The clips keeps it´s length, BUT it has a +1 frame at the end. So in-point is correct. Out-point is +1 frame.
When I import to Avid for finishing again, everything is OK regarding in-point/out-point on the newly exported UHD ProRes-files.
And the famerate is OK: 25fps. No glitches.
BUT all clips has a +1 frame duration. This is the thing I cant´t figure out.
What am I doing wrong?
How can I export clips from Redcine-X with the exact same duration as they were given in the EDL exported from Avid MC?
