  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X Build 158...

It seems everyone is someway affected by Quicktime. Apple needs to do something.

They are doing something; they're totally rewriting QuickTime. Snow Leopard's QuickTime X is the first step, but it will probably require a couple of more major version releases before QTX is useful for things beyond playing movie trailers.

Me too, but only occasionally, not always.
I thought it was because my "bad aim" with the dropper...

I am having white balance issues with RCX 158 on a mac. Often...almost always.. when I go to pick a white point in the frame after clicking, the whole Kelvin scale moves all the way to the left to 1700K or something crazy blue...Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

I've been having the same issue most of the time. So i've been correcting most stuff by eye at the moment, which i like to think is just as good.

We are grading a short on a scene by scene in a separate Redcine-X project for later render. We save the project after applying a grade to each clip in the video window. After re-opening the project some of the clips no longer have the grade on them, but some do.

What are we missing? Thanks.

I've also noticed this...some clips have my grade and others don't. Would be nice to have some way to apply or remove the grade and know that it is there. Some way of showing---"this clip has a grade" some figure or ? that lets you know clip is graded. Then you can turn on/off grade.

So we just noticed something weird- we have some timelapse footage shot on M-X camera, b30, and build 158 won't render a burn-in. Older builds render the burn-in just fine. Some kind of TC bug?
