Does anyone edit in Sony Vegas and color grade their r3d files in Redcine X? I've found a way to output an EDL file that Redcine X can ingest, but how do I get the metadata changes made in Redcine X back into Vegas?

I've seen examples done with metadata changes making it into Adobe Premiere, but none for Vegas.

Unfortunately there is no way yet to load the RMD back in Vegas that I am aware of. Only Premiere Pro has as flexible a workflow. You can always export an AAF or EDL (there's a Vegas EDL importer plugin available for Adobe CS5.x) from Vegas and move to Premiere Pro for the finishing stage. There's a workaround circulating in the Adobe forum for Epic audio so Premiere Pro has caught up to Vegas on that respect.
