Hey Guys,

I'll be working on a film that is shooting Anamorphic on the RED-Epic. I have only done post on Anamorphic Alexa footage and have always transcoded via DaVinci Resolve. We will be cutting in Avid so my plan is to transcode to DNX36 via REDCINE-X. When shooting spherical this is very straightforward but right now I have rcx open and I do not see any "Anamorphic 2x1" stretch options. Do you just use the "scale" option to double the width? What is the common workflow for shooting 4k Anamorphic?

Thanks in advance!
Will

If I recall correcty there is a little box upper right corner of the picture that says somthing like normal, or full, and you click on that and it gives you the option for anamorphic.

Nick, as of build 22 the pull-down option on top of the video window has been removed. Currently if you load an anamorphic r3d file that does not contain an rmd, the video will automatically be scaled. This can also be controlled from the "Framing" Tab under Framing Control -> Fit pulldown

Framing Tab
= Fit Width Dropdown
= Fit Width/Height (scale factor, x.5, x1.3, x2, etc, etc).
