I just upgraded to 30.1 and was happy to see that full screen playback of side by side 3D is finally working properly on 1920x1080 HDMI displays. Previously, it was not filling the screen and when you switched into 3D mode on the external display, parallax was waaay off making it useless for evaluating shots. This was a huge workflow problem because you had to involve other applications and often rendering was involved. Sadly however, the video on external display function still does not work properly, exhibiting the same issue and not completely filling the screen. This isn't a deal breaker, but it is not convenient. I would ideally like to have the video displayed on an external HDMI monitor in side by side mode so that the external 3D monitor can always be set to 3D mode while the UI is on the main computer screen. This would eliminate the need to toggle full screen and have the client's brain explode every time they forget to remove the glasses when I toggle back to UI. Hopefully someone from RED will read this and pass along the suggestion.

Thanks Jason, we can look into this. Just for clarity if you can email a picture of whats currently happening vs. what you'd like to see to redcinex at red dot com that would be very helpful.

Thanks,
David
